Alfonso XIII 1886-1941
King of Spain
He was born in Madrid, the posthumous son of Alfonso XII, and his mother, Maria Christina of Austria, acted as regent until 1902, when he assumed full power. In 1906 he married Princess Ena of Battenberg, granddaughter of Queen Victoria. His reign was increasingly autocratic and unpopular. After neutrality during World War I, he was blamed for the Spanish defeat in the Moroccan War (1921), and from 1923 he associated himself with the military dictatorship of Miguel Primo de Rivera (1923-30). In 1931 Alfonso agreed to elections, which voted overwhelmingly for a republic. He refused to abdicate, but left Spain, and died in exile.

A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
