British prince
The second son of Queen Elizabeth II, and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, he was educated at Gordonstoun School, Scotland, Lakefield College, Ontario, and the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. He was commissioned in the Royal Navy, qualifying as a helicopter pilot and serving in the Falklands War (1982). In 1986 he married Sarah Margaret Ferguson (see Duchess of York) and was made Duke of York. They have two children: Princess Beatrice (1988- ) and Princess Eugenie (1990- ). They were divorced in 1996.
