Cassius, in full Gaius Cassius Longinus d.42BC
Roman conspirator
He was quaestor to Marcus Licinius Crassus in the Parthian War (54BC), and in 49 supported Pompey during the civil war. He was pardoned by Julius Caesar after their defeat at the Battle of Pharsalia (48). Despite gaining political advancement through Caesar, he played a leading part in the conspiracy to murder him (44), having persuaded Marcus Brutus to join him. However, popular feeling turned against them, and they were defeated at Philippi (42) by Mark Antony. Cassius subsequently committed suicide.

A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
