Cyrus, the Younger 424-401BC
Persian prince and satrap

He was the second son of the Achaemenid King Darius II Ochus. He was accused of conspiring against his brother, Artaxerxes II Mnemon, and was sentenced to death (404BC), but was afterwards pardoned and restored as Satrap of Asia Minor. In 401 he led an army of Greek mercenaries (which included Xenophon) against his brother, but was killed at Cunaxa.
