Harald Gormsson, Blue-Tooth c.910-985
King of Denmark
The son of Gorm the Old and father of Svein I Haraldsson, Fork-Beard, he became king in c.940 and was the first king to unite all the provinces of Denmark. He was converted to Christianity by a German missionary, Poppo (c.960), and made Christianity the state religion of Denmark. He is thought to have built the fortified military barracks at Trelleborg and elsewhere in Denmark as well as the Jelling Stone, proclaiming his conversion. He strengthened the unity and central administration of the country, and repelled attacks from Norway and Germany. He was deposed by his son Svein (985), and died in exile soon afterwards.

A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
