Harald II Eriksson, Greycloak d.c.970
King of Norway
The eldest son of Erik Haraldsson, Blood-Axe, he retreated to Denmark with his mother, Gunnhild, the sister of King Harald Gormsson (Blue-Tooth) after his father's death in England (954). With Danish support he and his four brothers made several assaults on Norway from 960 against their uncle, King Haakon I Haraldsson, the Good, and eventually killed him in battle off Hardangerfjord (c.961) and Harald became king. His reign was unpopular, especially when he tried to impose Christianity on his subjects. When he tried to break free of his alliance with Denmark one of his enemies, Earl Haakon of Lade, enlisted Harald Blue-Tooth's help for another invasion, and Greycloak was caught and killed at Limfjord.

A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
