Harald V 1937-
King of Norway
Born in Oslo, like his father Olav V he was educated at Oslo University, at a military academy, and at Oxford. He served briefly in each of the country's three armed services, and in 1968 took the then unprecedented step of marrying a commoner, Sonja - a shopkeeper's daughter - after strenuous efforts by his father to obtain Cabinet approval. As prince regent, he effectively served as monarch after the king suffered a stroke in 1990, and he formally succeeded to the throne (the coronation ceremony having been discarded in 1957, in a pledge to the Constitution) on Olav's death in January 1991. A lover of nature, he has been president of the Norwegian branch of the World Wildlife Fund since its foundation in 1970.

A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
