Catherine Howard d.1542
English queen

She was the granddaughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk, niece of Thomas Howard, 3rd Duke of Norfolk and cousin of Anne Boleyn. In 1540 she married Henry VIII as his fifth wife, immediately after his divorce from Anne of Cleves. In 1541 she was charged by Thomas Cranmer with sexual intercourse before her marriage with a musician (Henry Mannock), her secretary (Francis Dereham) and a kinsman (Thomas Culpepper), whom she had known before her marriage. The men were executed, and Catherine was attainted by parliament and beheaded.
