Kett, Robert d.1549
English rebel

He was a landowner of Wymondham, Norfolk, who in July 1549 headed 16,000 insurgents in an uprising against common land enclosures. The rebels twice captured Norwich, on the second occasion holding it until they were driven out by John Dudley, Earl of Warwick. Kett was captured and hanged.
