Malcolm II c.954-1034
King of Scotland

He was the son of Kenneth II, and became king in 1005 after his slaughter of Kenneth III. He won a great victory over the Northumbrians at Carham (1018) and secured Strathclyde, but had to submit to the English King Knut Sveinsson (Canute) in 1032. He was succeeded by his grandson Duncan I.
