English soldier and politician
Son of Sir John Seymour and younger brother of Edward Seymour, Duke of Somerset, and brother-in-law to Henry VIII through Henry's marriage to Jane Seymour, he became High Admiral of England in 1547, and in the same year married the dowager queen Catherine Parr, widow of Henry VIII. A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
