Berenice 1st century BC
Princess of the Jewish Idumean dynasty

She was the daughter of Costobarus and Salome, who was a sister of Herod the Great. She was married to her cousin Aristobulus from c.17BC and their children were Herod of Chalcis, Herod Agrippa I (father of the Jewish Berenice), Aristobulus, Herodias and Mariamne. She allegedly set in motion the plot to murder her husband by her uncle Herod, whose brother-in-law Theudion she later married. Her third husband was Archelaus, whom she married when Theudion was executed for scheming against Herod.
