Beauharnais, Eugčne de 1781-1824
French general
After the marriage of his mother, Joséphine, to Napoleon I, he served with his stepfather in Italy and Egypt, and rapidly rose to the highest military rank. In 1805 he was made a prince of France, and from 1805 to 1814 was Viceroy of Italy. As viceroy he established his court at Milan but was allowed little rein by his stepfather in running the affairs of the kingdom. In 1806 he married Augusta, daughter of Maximilian of Bavaria. In 1813-14 he tried to resist the Austrian invasion of Italy but eventually fled to Munich, where he was offered protection by his father-in-law and created Duke of Leuchtenberg.

A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
