Boyle, Roger, Baron Broghill and 1st Earl of Orrery 1621-79
Irish soldier and politician
He was the third son of Richard Boyle, 1st Earl of Cork. In the Civil War he first took the Royalist side, but after the death of Charles I he came under the personal influence of Cromwell, and distinguished himself in the Irish campaign. He became one of Cromwell's special council and a member of his House of Lords. On Cromwell's death, he tried to support Richard Cromwell, but after his abdication crossed to Ireland, and secured it for King Charles II. Four months after the Restoration he was made Earl of Orrery. He wrote poems, eight heroic plays, two comedies, a romance, Parthenissa (1654-65), and a Treatise on the Art of War (1677).

A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
