Crassus, Marcus Licinius, known as Dives ('the Rich') c.115-53BC
Roman politician
He was a protégé and supporter of Lucius Cornelius Sulla in the civil war against Gaius Marius (88-82BC). As praetor he defeated Spartacus at the Battle of Lucania (71), and in 70 he was made consul with Pompey, whom he hated. The richest of Roman citizens (hence his byname), he became a friend of Julius Caesar, and formed the first triumvirate with him and Pompey (60). In 53, as Governor of Syria, he attacked the Parthians, but was routed and killed at the Battle of Carrhae.

A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
