Field, Nathan 1587-c.1620
English actor and dramatist
He was born in London and educated there at St Paul's School. In 1600 he became one of the children of the Queen's Chapel, and subsequently one of the comedians of the Queen's Revels (1604-13) and various other troupes. As a playwright he collaborated with Francis Beaumont and John Fletcher, and with Philip Massinger in the latter's The Fatal Dowry (1632). He also wrote two comedies, A Woman is a Weathercocke (1612) and Amends for Ladies (1618).
