Goossens, Eugčne 1867-1958
Belgian violinist and conductor

Born in Bordeaux, France, he studied at the Brussels Conservatory and at the Royal Academy of Music, London. From 1884 to 1886 he played with the Carl Rosa Company under his father, the Belgian conductor Eugčne Goossens, and with the orchestra at Covent Garden, London (1893-94). He was principal conductor of the Carl Rosa Company from 1899 to 1915.
