Greville, Charles Cavendish Fulke 1794-1865
English diarist

He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford, and became private secretary to Earl Bathurst, and was clerk of the privy council (1821-59). His position gave him particular access for studying court and public life, which is reflected in his noted The Greville Memoirs (1875-87), and also in his Letters (1924) and The Greville Diary (1927).
