Kemble, Stephen 1758-1822
English actor

He was born in Kington, Herefordshire, and was the brother of Sarah Siddons, John Philip Kemble and Charles Kemble. He was chiefly remarkable for his enormous bulk, which enabled him to play Falstaff without padding. He was manager of the Edinburgh Theatre (1792-1800), where he was always involved in lawsuits and other troubles.
