English comedian

A leading member of Shakespeare's company, he left the stage when the Chamberlain's Men moved to the Globe Theatre, London. In 1600, he performed in a nine-day Morris dance from London to Norwich. He wrote Nine Daies Wonder (ed by Dyce, Camden Society).
