Marie Louise 1791-1847
Empress of France

Born in Vienna, Austria, she was the daughter of Francis I of Austria. She married Napoleon I in 1810 (after his divorce from Joséphine), and bore him a son (1811), who was created King of Rome and became Napoleon II. On Napoleon's abdication (1814) she returned to Austria, and was awarded the duchy of Parma. In 1822 she contracted a morganatic marriage with Count von Neipperg (c.1829) and another with the Count of Bombelles (1834).
