Pius V, St, originally Michele Ghislieri 1504-72
Italian pope
Born in Cesena, he became a bishop in 1556, and a cardinal in 1557. As pope from 1566, he implemented the decrees of the Council of Trent (1545-63), excommunicated Queen Elizabeth I (1570), and inspired the Holy League (1571) against the Turks. The league's campaign culminated in the victory of the Christian fleet under Don John of Austria at the Battle of Lepanto in the Gulf of Corinth (1571). He was canonized in 1712, and his feast day is 30 April.

A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
