Stilicho, Flavius c.365-408AD
Roman soldier
Born a Vandal, he married Serena, niece of the Emperor Theodosius I. In AD394 he put Flavius Honorius on the throne of the Western Roman Empire, and ruled through him. On the death of Theodosius (394), Alaric I of the Visigoths invaded Greece and Italy, but was defeated by Stilicho at Pollentia (402) and Verona (403). Stilicho's proposed alliance with Alaric against the Vandals, Alans and Suevi was interpreted as treachery and he was murdered at the command of Honorius.

A wildcard is a special character you can use to replace one or more characters in a word. There are two types of wildcard. The first is a question mark ?, which matches a single character. The second is an asterisk *, which matches zero or more characters. The two kinds of wildcard can be mixed in a single search.
