Farrow, Mia (Maria de Lourdes Villiers) 1945-
US actress

She was born in Los Angeles, the daughter of the film director John Farrow and the actress Maureen O'Sullivan. She made her Broadway debut in 1963 and first came to notice in Peyton Place on television in the 1960s. Her films include Rosemary's Baby (1968), The Great Gatsby (1974), and a number of Woody Allen films, notably Hannah and Her Sisters (1986). She has developed into an authoritative actress, and her high-profile marriages to Frank Sinatra (1966-68) and André Previn (1970-79), and her subsequent relationship with Woody Allen, which ended in court in 1992, have attracted significant media attention.
